Launching of a new project called the Croatian Design Superstore is due to be in the Rector´s and Proveditor´s Palace in Zadar on Thursday, 10th July. As the name says, the project comprehensively covers domestic production designers, promotion and long-term sales platform. The best of the Croatian design will soon be available via the internet shop.
Ira Payer, creative director of the Croatian Design Superstore, chose hundreds of domestic designer products according to the highest standards of excellence in design. The selection covers the furniture, lighting, clothing, footwear, toys, food, wine, jewelry, tableware and decorative items. This long-term project is intended to become a strong local brand profiler which would raise the quality of domestic design.
The first Croatian Design Superstore in Croatia will be placed in the temporary exhibition halls in Rector´s and Proveditor´s Palace, popularly known as “Duke´s cage”, for whose architectural solution local Zadar architects Iva Letilović and Igor Pedišić won the prize “Bernardi” from the Croatian Architects´ Association as the best achievement in design and interior decoration in the 2011th year.
