CONCERT “CIOTOG” – IRISH TRADITIONAL MUSIC
CIOTOG band plays the traditional Irish music and comes from Split, Croatia.
A Celtic word ciotog (read: kitog) means “an honorable man”. The group is active from the year 2005
It´s program consists of instrumental dance forms: jigs, slip jigs, polkas, reels, barndance, slides, highland airs, marches and Irish songs from their rich repertoire in English and Gaelic language.
Irish music has survived in its purest form because it has long passed down from generation to generation, without the aid of technology.
In this way and survived several centuries and in our memory evokes an old, good and unfortunately forgotten time. The band Citog wants to preserve this time …
