One of the most beautiful islands of Zadar’ archipelago, with 11 villages facing the mainland and the steep southwestern side facing the open sea.
In the southwestern part of the island is the Telaščica bay, a declared Nature Park that is reliefly and geographically a part of the National Park Kornati. In the far western part of the island is a tourist town Božava, the Saharun beach which is the most beautiful sandy beach on the Adriatic coast, and the lighthouse Veli Rat, which dominates the entire area.
